ECC 3rd XI vs Bognor Regis CC, 4th XI
Eastergate 3s V Bognor 4s.
A cold and damp afternoon at The Common, Slindon sees the 3s start their league campaign with a convincing 105 victory against Bognor.
Both clubs struggled with player availability this week and with Eastergate batting first 250 runs was always a big ask for 10men Bognor.
Good batting all round with Chris S top scoring with 76 and some useful knocks at key times from Sam, Adam, Sean and Painey
Bowling at Slindon, we always say bowl it straight... a few swings and misses, stumps knocked over and safe catches see the visitors out for 145. Greg 2 early wickets set us on the way. Rufus x1 , Roman again , Leo x1 and yours truly somehow 4!
Thanks for all the help with our first game, Roman for his quick scoring lesson with the juniors and everyone contributed with bat or ball.
