Eastergate 3’s vs Pagham 4’s
Eastergate won the toss and elected to bat
Eastergate set the tone early by choosing to bat first, and they posted a competitive total thanks to a composed knock from A Arman, who anchored the innings with an unbeaten 64 off 79 balls, including 3 fours and 2 sixes. Support came from I Paine (35 off 59) and K Booker (22 off 29), while R Comins (21) and J Arman (19) chipped in with handy contributions.
Despite some middle-order wobbles, notably M Bentley falling for a duck and R Tompkins managing 10, Eastergate closed out their innings with a respectable total (final total not visible, but at least 7 wickets fell with A Arman not out).
In the bowling department, Eastergate delivered a well-rounded performance to bowl out the opposition for 175. R Comins was the standout, taking 3 wickets for 34 runs in 8.5 overs. He was well supported by H Booker (2/23 off 8.1), J Arman (2/18 off 3), and A Booker (2/29 off 5). A Arman also continued his all-round impact with a tidy spell of 1/15 off 7 overs.
Fielding was sharp, with several catches contributing to the pressure, and the bowling attack shared the workload effectively. The fall of wickets for the opposition showed a steady breakdown, with the final collapse coming swiftly from 162-8 to 175 all out.
Player of the Match: A Arman – for his unbeaten 64 and economical 1/15 with the ball.
